In this presentation we compare resilience at three localities: the Eastern Cape, South Africa; Roghun, Tajikistan, and Lesotho, based on evaluation work done in these three places.
- These are social-ecological systems ‘at the edge’, meaning that they suffer from
social-ecological collapse and are close to a tipping point.
- The over-arching question is: what can we learn from systems at the edge about resilience?
